Biography

Roberto Almarza es pintor y artista visual español, licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Su trabajo parte de la figura humana y el rostro para explorar la relación entre apariencia, reconocimiento e identidad. A través de la pintura y el dibujo, investiga cómo el color, la materia y el gesto pueden transformar una imagen reconocible y convertirla en algo nuevo. La serie El Rostro constituye una parte central de esta investigación, desarrollada a partir de la observación de personas cercanas y de la búsqueda de un equilibrio entre parecido y expresión. Su obra más reciente continúa esta investigación y amplía progresivamente el interés hacia la figura, el cuerpo y las posibilidades expresivas de la pintura. Ha sido seleccionado en diferentes certámenes de pintura en España, entre ellos el Certamen de Pintura ACOR, Villa de Montellano, Ciudad de Álora y Cerezo Moreno.
