Biography

Martina Rodríguez Morán (Pancar, Llanes,1987) terminó sus estudios de Arquitectura en la Escuela Politécnica de Madrid consciente de que no iba a ejercer pero queriendo construir su carrera en el arte sobre unos cimientos sólidos. Pese a nacer en una pequeña aldea asturiana, su aprendizaje ha sido cosmopolita; a su formación en Madrid se suman estancias en Filadelfia y São Paulo. En 2016 decide enfocar su camino a la pintura participando desde entonces en cinco exposiciones colectivas y una individual en el madrileño Espacio B; en 2017 y 2018 es seleccionada para el Premio BMW de Pintura. En sus lienzos manda la expresión, la espontaneidad, y el resultado es un alfabeto fresco, enigmático y exhuberante.
