Biography

Les Vladimir Stepanovich (1927-2008), who was born in 1927 in Andriykivtsy village, Khmelnitsky region, Ukraine. After liberation of Ukraine from Nazis in1944 Les went to front. He has several medals and order of “Great Patriotic War”. Author entered Odessa Art College, named after Grecov in 1951 the faculty: painting, professor L. Muchnik. 1959-1976 author is working in Vinnitsa Artist Union. Sins 1976—moving to Khmelnitsky. 1976-1985 Vladimir Stepanovich, together with A. Kiselev, L. Bessaraba, created 5 dioramas, devoted to liberation of Khmelnitsky from German Fascists. Les Vladimir Stepanovich participated in great number of exhibitions. Numerous all republican, All-Union, foreign exhibitions. Author’s works are in: Poland, Russia, Holland, USA, Germany. Works are in the museums of: Khmelnitsky, Kiev. Les Vladimir Stepanovich is member of Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1978. Unfortunately Les Vladimir Stepanovich died in 2008 in his native city Khmelnitsky. Les Vladimir Stepanovich is in “A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Paintings 1900-1980th” by Matthew Cullerne Bown.
